Workplace EV Charge Point
If you are planning to purchase a fleet of electric vehicles, or if you have employees with electric cars, charging points can be a necessity.
First, there is the Workplace Charging Scheme. This provides financial help with the installation of EV charging points. It will save you money if you apply for this Government incentive, but you will need to fill out an application.

Wall-mounted EV Charge Points
Standard 7kw wall-mounted EV charge points are the most popular option. These are generally straightforward to connect to the mains supply and install. With this option, vehicles can be fully charged in around 3 hours. If a quicker turnaround is regularly required, rapid 22kw chargers are available.
Free-standing post EV Charge points
If wall-mounted chargers are suitable for your premises, there is the option of Post chargers. These will incur higher installation costs, as there is a need to connect the power supply to the post, but they may be more practical, especially if you need access to several charging points at the same time.
Domestic EV Charge Points
Our electricians can install wall-mounted EV charging points at your home. We will suggest the best location for the charger, based on the power supply, parking space and height that will minimize the risk of accidental damage. The charger will be connected to your mains supply as well as to your Wi-Fi, which will enable smart features. A homeowner may apply for an OLEV grant to help subsidise the cost of owning an electric vehicle.
